David Slimp is a technical Consultant specializing in programming (Perl, web/CGI, C, C++, shell) and administration (Unix, Linux). David also provides technical training for business. Using "Real World" experience he is able to ensure immediate usability.

David began programming computers in 1979, creating several ascii arcade games in BASIC on a Tandy model II. In the years to follow, his base of knowledge increased and his passion for programming eventually found expression in Perl. Although his progamming skills are now used for personal utilities and task automation, his humble beginnings never left him. David was recognized in the August 2001 edition of Linux Journal magazine for his development of another ascii graphics terminal game (Perl Defense Blaster), this time using Perl!
